hebrew congregation in northwest baltimore. today, family, friends and players will gather here to say a final good-bye to art modell. now, last night, before the ravens first kick off and national anthem everyone took a moment to pay tribute to modell. the stadium fell silence. we saw the loss on ray lewis face and his eyes tell the story. he saw modell as a father figure. modell is best remembered for contributions to the national football league and the owner of the cleveland browns from 1961 and 1995 and ravens from 1996 to 2003. he helped launch monday night football and was also known for his charitable work. modell is survived by his sons and six grandchildren. that funeral begins this morning at 11:00 followed by a private luncheon. we are told that the modell family is actually asking that folks gave contribution to the seed school in lieu of flowers. reporting live, sherrie johnson, abc2 news. >> we have a special section on our web page dedicated art modell and his career here in baltimore. you can see photos of his

we're seeing it in baltimore county this morning. we zoom in. heavy rain off to the west of talson and as we work our way through the remainder of the morning and we'll dry out and could get sunshine in here as well but also clouds and another chance for some showers to work their way into the afternoon. this morning, though, temperatures are on the mild side. we are in the 60s to upper 60s in a lot of spots. you donate need don't -- you don't need that coat as you head out the door. we go through thursday this evening, so the game is at 8:20. around 6:00 your commute home, we could see showers out there, but we're waiting for the cold front to move through. once it begins to work its way in here, that's when we'll start to see a little bit of clearing. it looks like it will slide further off to the south, but once again if this keeps a little bit closer to us, we have the chances in there on sat, but right now -- saturday, but right now it looks like we're drying things out on saturday. and enjoy that. for today, hour by hour, 77 degrees as we

i mean, baltimore city public schools getting three new libraries today. and i got to tell you they are beautiful. when you look at before and today they are amaying. we are at thomas johnson elementary school and this is where the official grand opening will kick off at 9 this morning. but dr. smith joins me live who is the librarian here at the school. and just a few minutes ago we had took a tour and went inside and we will see video here. this is an amazing new library for the students. tell me some of the things that you can do now that you couldn't do before? >> the students will have an opportunity to be 2 is isst century students in a 21st century library. literature and reading is important. but we have to do it in the way that students learn now. so we have technology there. we have opportunities. the wineberg foundation gave us 4,000 new books. so the students will have more books that they can purr use and look at and they will be able to work into actively. we have a interactive table with computers they will be able to use so they can do rese
